Fat Sunday will be playing an outdoor concert at Bronte Creek Provincial Park as part of a summer music program organized by Bronte Creek Provincial Park. The program features different local musicians each week and runs from July 4th through to August 29th.
We'll be playing on August 29th, starting at 6pm at the Breckon Shelter area within the park. Please come out and join us!

It's been a long time coming, but we've finally released a collection of original material that we think showcases the best of Fat Sunday. All of the songs on this album were written by Joe Hewitt over many years and can be described as upbeat acoustic with a folk influence.
The album has something for everyone: ballads like Whirpool of Schemes, the haunting Silence of Love, and upbeat tracks like Good Love and Twistin' Me 'Round. We hope you enjoy listening!
After spending a number of weekends in the recording studio, we're now in the process of mixing what we hope will be the final songs that will be released on the album. Pictured to the left, deep in thought, is our producer Chris Tondreau from Green Room Recording in Hamilton.
We recorded slightly more songs than we anticipated so now have the difficult decision on deciding which ones we want to release right now versus those that we'll hold back for the future.
We've started recording the album and hope to have everything available for release within the next few months. All of the material we are recording is completely original. Stay tuned for more details!
After taking some time off in 2017, we've been busy writing new songs and hope to hit the studio soon to start recording. We have a lot of our own original material that we're pretty excited about and are aiming for a Spring 2018 release. Fat Sunday was formed in 2014 by three Burlington residents who met through running.
Songwriter and guitarist, Joe Hewitt talked drummer Bill Allan and bassist Stephen Miller into joining him for rehearsals and recording sessions, where they began exploring a slate of original and cover material. The group continues to build momentum, and can now be found performing live at local venues.
Their style could be considered relaxing acoustic folk influenced by the likes of Lightfoot, Prine and Rogers.
